Remodeling the House - Upstairs phase 1

Here you will see a quick video of our current progress remodeling our first house. The upstairs bathroom was not set up very well and the laundry room was in the basement....we are in the process of making a new laundry space and re configuring the bathroom. A few weeks of work have been put in and a few tons of plaster have been taken out....but as you can see there is more work to be done.

Please Enjoy...

Take a moment to consider the following...

This next election

will decide the fate of

America.

please take a moment out of your day and

give this post a read.

I want to make something clear to every person who has

attending college over the last 4 years with the assistance of

federally funded student loans and grants, your education

would not be possible under a Romney Ryan presidency. I

am so proud to be a college graduate and I thank President

Obama for that, my parents thank him for that; I think

everyone should be thankful that I could get an education,

get a job, buy a home with my best friend, purchase durable

goods (washer, dryer, refrigerator), and pay taxes that fix

roads, pay for public education, and fund programs for my

grandparents.

A little mud slinging from either side should not blind you to

the apparent facts....if America chooses the wrong president

everyone who doesn't already have money will never ever get money

The cycle will repeat

and we will fall into a regression again and again and again

Top down economy will never work...rich people don't

believe in America anymore. They would much rather go live

in their mansion in Dubai than spend their money

 re-investing in the American Dream

Long Live Obama
May he help American in our time of need

Remodeling the upstairs

Last time I tried this post the pictures were quite poor quality so I am going to try again...
Our upstairs bathroom was decent but in need of some serious work....and while we are at it the girl and I wanted the laundry room up there as well. Here we go...

This was a whole bunch of fun!! Plaster is definatly not awesome to tear down. I was having a rough time until I went to the hardware store and got a Saw Zaw...this little tool made things much easier. Make sure to wear eye protection and a face mask when removing plaster.

This will be our new space for the laundry room....we took some space from a third bedroom to make the laundry area an acceptable size

The Maltipoo Named Theodore

This is the first picture of the new maltipoo...he was not a very good car passenger and once we got to Cedar Rapids he was going to puke and in an attempt to save the jeep from getting filled with puppy puke I tried to catch it in my hands....and all over my clothes.

The story of Theodore

It was the girlfriends birthday the other day and she told me what she really wanted more than anything was a puppy....so after searching the internet and scanning local newspapers we came across a nice family of dog breeders 45 minutes south of waterloo near a small town called vining.
When we arrived there were happy dogs all over the place to welcome us into the families home. There were 3 maltipoo male puppies available to choose from and the decision was very difficult. Eventually we even resorted to flipping a coin and drawing straws. After about half an hour the birthday present was decided and we were the proud parents of a beautiful puppy with no name.
Since we were so close to Cedar Rapids we decided to visit our good friend Kelly ...because she loves fluffy puppies. It took almost an entire day of brainstorming for names when we finally landed on Theodore Cash Wellswolf aka Teddy....but I like to call him tink, because he is just a puppy and tinkles on the floor sometimes...but we are working on that.
Teddy is our most prized possession...he is so fluffy we all might die

Ravaged Artwork: the many employees of WTP

The food industry is an excellent place to meet interesting people...if you have never been a waiter or line cook I do suggest you give it a try at least for a little while so you may better understand what it is like to live on 8.50$ an hour....if you are lucky

One day before I started work I came in to see a wall of old pickle buckets
Instead of taking the buckets to the trash my awesome scummy coworker decided to illustrate the many employees of the pub.
At first I found this very childish and a vast waste of time....however upon further investigation a lot of thought and hard work went into a few of these...
